Vintage Maltese Brooch

This vintage, ornate Maltese Cross Pin brooch features amber glass cabochons at each point and a pearl-like center stone. Although not signed, this brooch design appears to be the iconic design of Benedikt NY. These very sought-after brooches were created in various color combinations and degrees of detail. This brooch has a is a substantial look and feel. Maltese Cross brooches are a favorite for collectors!

Measurements: This brooch is 2" tall and wide, and has a rolling C clasp.  

Condition: The brooch is in very good vintage condition. There is some minor scuffing to some surfaces. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.

Unsigned: Although this brooch looks very similar to Howard Benedikt Maltese Cross designs, this piece is not stamped or "signed, and therefore may not be a Benedikt NY vintage item. Howard Benedikt sold costume jewelry from his own NYC shop from 1955 to 1973. The Maltese Cross design was his signature piece, with his jewelry in general considered high end. Regardless, this is an incredibly detailed item and will amplify any outfit!
